For our second artefact we had to create a basic website to show our slideshow in, so the website showed the image, where you could click to go to the next image then click to go back i created forward and backward buttons.
To create this we needed to know some basic Dreamweaver HTML and CSS so we had a workshop I had never really touched any of this I had never used Dreamweaver I had just used some very basic HTML to edit my Myspace page.
So we got shown how to create a new website and a new page finding out your first page is called index then page 1, page 2 ect. It was quite a lot to take in but I liked it as it was something new and interesting so using our images from our slideshow, we had to create a new web slideshow making links from one image to another and basically just learning some of the basics like inserting tables, text and using CSS to change the background, fonts, borders and such like here is a screen shot of my first internet web page for my slideshow:
As you can see it has no real structure the image is just centred to the middle with some text above with a hypertext link to my Flickr account and if you click on the image it goes to the next image were it is basically the same but with less text above it with backwards and forwards buttons underneath to go from one image to the next and so on. I found this good and not to hard to do so I had a fiddle and imported some images to use as background images using CSS.
This was good fun I started to like Dreamweaver…. Until… DIV TAGS!
